Mercedes-Benz owners are a class apart, a community of sorts that’s united by the love of the drive and for the finer things in life. However, community takes many other forms, and the Mercedes-Benz of Annapolis team knows that when we work together, we can accomplish great things. We’re reminded of this as we observe the effects of the tragic Los Angeles wildfires, which have prompted individuals and companies to step up in meaningful ways. Here’s how Mercedes-Benz is contributing to fire relief and recovery efforts, helping those who need it most.

Community Support

Mercedes-Benz has several facilities in areas affected by the wildfires, including Long Beach, Fontana, and Sunnyvale, as well as many drivers and dealership teams. In an effort to support communities and relief efforts in the area, Mercedes-Benz is contributing $500,000 to the American Red Cross and the Los Angeles Fire Department. This money will help with food, emergency assistance, and long-term recovery efforts for affected community members.

Assisting Owners and Lessees

Mercedes-Benz Financial Services is also helping to relieve some of the financial burden on affected drivers, with programs for payment deferrals on leases and loans so that drivers can focus on rebuilding. They have suspended collections activities in the area and are also providing complimentary cabin air filter replacements for drivers affected by smoke. Mercedes-Benz has also given teams like ours at Mercedes-Benz of Annapolis a chance to help, with donation matching up to $200 per employee.
