Part of owning a Mercedes-Benz vehicle is replacing Mercedes-Benz parts when necessary. Certain parts such as the engine or the transmission don’t need to be replaced on a regular basis. However, replacing some parts is just part of basic Mercedes-Benz vehicle care.

Here, we will let you know which parts need to be regularly replaced, and the warning signs for each.

Mercedes-Benz Parts 101: The Basic Parts

Two parts that commonly need to be replaced are the tires and windshield wipers. It is pretty easy to figure out when you need new windshield wipers; when they start to leave streaks, they need to be replaced. It’s always a good idea to have an extra set on hand.

Obviously, if you blow a tire when on the road, that tire will need to be replaced. However, you should replace a tire before disaster strikes. If your alignment is off or if your tire pressure light is flashing, have a Mercedes-Benz service tech take a look at your tires to make sure everything is okay.

Two parts that also commonly need to be replaced are the battery and the brake pads. While both of these having warning signs, more often than not it will be a service tech that lets you know when you should get a new one.

For batteries, if your vehicle is having trouble starting, or if you are noticing things such as flickering lights, bring your vehicle in to have the battery checked. For brakes, pay attention to the sounds you hear when you apply the brakes. Screeches and squeals are a telltale sign that something is wrong.

?Additional components include spark plugs, filters, and fluids.

When you bring your vehicle to our service center at Mercedes-Benz of Annapolis, our service techs will do a comprehensive check of your vehicle to make sure that everything is in working order.
